[Outside of Jonathan's door, he places his device into a bag, seals it, and leaves it. He doesn't want to risk being overheard by anyone for this idea.
So he steps in, finding that the office is a bit more personalized before. It's good. Jonathan could use more of those touches. Adrian sits, folding one leg over the other.]
I've a favor to ask. One I hope you are amendable to.
I couldn't stop thinking about how all of us were rounded up. How we were taken, dragged to their camp. Even those who have been in hiding were found. Those with security were rendered useless.
I think perhaps it is more than the devices they've given us to communicate. I think it's possible that they've placed something inside of us to be traced. A device, something magical, both -- but it's nothing that can't be proven yet.
That's where you come in, where I in turn would be useful. I want you to perform exploratory surgery on me, thoroughly.
[Jonathan's brows rise, and his interest is apparent in the way his gaze sharpens on the other man. Elisabeth had teased that a young Ekon's thirst for blood might only be rivaled by the thirst for knowledge, but in Jonathan's case it's true. The idea of such a surgery is fascinating, and on a body that will heal itself up as they go?
His eyes rake over Adrian's body, almost hungrily, pin pointing the areas he might like to check first.]
I admit, I'm intrigued by the proposition. I would prefer to start with a few scans and non-invasive methods, but should they point us in a particular direction... Would you object to my bringing in an assistant for such a surgery? He will be able to control the pain for you during the process without the need for anesthetic.
I will also need... a few days. I have certain other commitments to finish out the week and I'll want to ensure I'm focused for such an endeavor.
[The gaze Jonathan gives him is a bit unnerving, but Adrian gives nothing away. If they both benefit, then so be it; he wants to make he checks for every theory that is possible.]
I have no adversity toward your suggestions. Do your scans, and bring your assistant. Help with the pain would be appreciated.
[He nods.] There is no hurry, Dr. Reid. I know you've a schedule to abide by. Simply let me know when, and I shall be there.
I'll schedule you for an MRI and X-ray next week, Mr. Tepes. It should be a good place to start. Have you had any medical attention at other hospitals while you've been here? It may be useful to obtain their records for review.
