DRAFT Tracker Plot
Tracking the Trackers
what's up?
So, about those
trackers that Adrian found
...
Turns out a fringe group of scientists who were turned away by LIEs are attempting to run their own experiments on the LIERs! Cleverly, they've decided to set LIEs up to try to avoid having their own work discovered and caught. No one knows this quite yet ICly, but there will, doubtlessly, be hell to pay when they do.
The goal of these scientists is ultimately to find a way to get out of Duplicity, themselves, and into other worlds, though each group may have slightly different motivations for why. They need information for that, of course. And who better than the people who have come from other worlds?
To this end, this event will essentially be a series of kinky-themed mini-events where characters will get to pursue a villain of their choice and try to stop (or aid and abet) them from continuing their nefarious (or possibly noble... ish) work.
who are these people?
The scientists are a diverse lot with their own themes (think supervillains in any comic) and goals. They are all working in smaller groups, trying to keep their operations as separate as possible to ensure that their work cannot be shut down if one cell is discovered. They're making use of technology they stole from LIEs in order to do this work, so while they’re generally similar in some of their methods, why they're doing what they're doing and how they’re going about it vary. This is to give players room to design their own 'big bad' to go after and defeat! (Or maybe join or take over. You villians be you.)
There will be as many cells of these scientists as players who want to invent them.
how did we get the trackers?
The trackers are nanomachine-based, able to be injected into characters without much notice. They can also be transmitted through bodily fluids including, you guessed it, sex! They've formed in random places throughout the body due to each person's anatomy being different and characters being injected in different places (or acquiring it through... different places).
This should give players latitude on say when, where, and how their character might have acquired a tracker. It also allows for characters who had trackers removed to be 're-infected' with them at will!
how this works!
〄
The ability to track where the trackers came from will be up to individual players. There will, no doubt, be multiple tech-inclined characters who can figure it out and help others out in leading them to a particular base. There may also be more mundane forms of tracking the things back to their source that characters can use. How you find the location of your villain is up to you.
〄
Below we have a section to make suggestions for sexy-themed kink mini-plots that tracker-affected individuals might experience. We have some ideas already, but are definitely open to more. We'll probably do two or three of these over the course of the next two months between mod events as the scientist cells are slowly disrupted. Players are welcome to do smaller-scale/localized effects from their villains as they go in search of them.
〄
You decide if, when, and how your character has been planted with a tracker. Your character can have a tracker put into them multiple times. (Enjoy your surgical scars.)
〄
You'll be able to design and locate your own villain (or villain crew) that may have some sort of sexy supervillain theme. Tentaculla with her secret base by the docks who has mechanical tentacles? Dr. Hot'n'Cold who's really into temperature play in his abandoned factory lair? Lady Luck who’s got a thing for games and gambling at a casino hideout? Go wild! ...Within reason. Nothing game-breaking, please! If you're not sure, we have a section below for questions we can bring to the mods. Scientists do not have to have supervillain names or have silly themes, but this is an option! Build your own villain however you’d like.
〄
You may also decide on the specific motives of the cell your character might be going after. In general, the goals uniting these scientists is sticking it to LIEs (maybe because they got fired, maybe because they never got hired), trying to reverse engineer the tech that is bringing the LIERs to Duplicity, and using nanobot-based trackers to monitor LIERs and learn more about them to try to snatch them or understand some aspect of their biology.

Suggest a kink focus for one of the mini-events! It can be anything you'd like. Ideally something broad enough to offer flexibility for folks who want to get involved.
